Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP), we proudly welcome you to the Sixth American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP6) in Arlington, VA, October 4-7, 2015. The meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, on the outskirts of Washington D.C., which offers beautiful accommodations, a convenient location for transportation for attendees, and state-of-the-art facility for our meeting and exhibition.

With growing membership from over 30 countries in 5 continents, the mission of ISoP is to promote and advance the discipline of Pharmacometrics through Integration, Innovation, and Impact. As the society’s annual meeting, ACoP reflects this mission by featuring best-in-class scientific programs to highlight the latest research and applications, and abundant networking for attendees from around the globe.

This year, ACoP6 is proud to offer 12 Symposia, 3 Tutorials, and the popular Open Forum, as well as educational workshops to be held immediately before and after the meeting. Diverse scientific topics includes: methodological advancements in PK and PD, quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP), categorical data analysis, big data, IT platforms, as well as hot topics in oncology, immunology, rare diseases, pediatrics, biologics, and regulatory interactions. Our free tutorials will teach new skills such as R Shiny, automated model selection, and QSP. ACoP6 will feature a Keynote Lecture by Dr. William J. Jusko (University at Buffalo) and a State-of-the-Art Lecture by Dr. Kevin Hall (NIH/NIDDK). In addition to these outstanding presentations, please join us for the Award sessions and congratulate the following exceptional scientists for their achievements at ACoP6: Dr. Larry Lesko will receive the Leadership Award, Dr. Steven Shafer will receive the Lewis B. Sheiner Lecturer Award, and Dr. Marc Lavielle will receive the Innovation Award.

New in 2015, ACoP6 expands its content with an inaugural pre-conference "Enabling Environments in which Pharmacometrics and Biostatistics Help Produce Robust Development and Regulatory Strategies" on October 4th, co-chaired by Dr. Vikram Sinha and Dr. Brian Smith. This pre-conference will discuss the current challenges faced by pharmacometricians and statisticians as well as strategies to foster and advance the use of modeling and simulation across disciplines.

Networking is always the best part of ACoP. ACoP6 includes the new Alumni Receptions, in addition to the Opening Reception and the Social Event. The Meet the QSP SIG Luncheon provides opportunity to meet the leadership and steering groups of this newly established ISoP Special Interest Group (SIG). Students and trainees will continue to enjoy special trainee programs.

The Poster and Exhibition areas will feature 211 posters and 18 exhibitors showcasing novel science and technologies in our field. Winners for the Quality Award and Trainee Award will present their work during the Podium session.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our ACoP6 sponsors for their strong support, the ACoP6 planning team for their outstanding efforts, and all of you for joining us and sharing your passion!

Enjoy ACoP6!

Sincerely,

Jin Yan Jin, Ph.D.
